This Is My Vulva is a powerful production that brings forward the voices of twelve women and their relationships with their vulvas—celebratory, complex, raw, provocative, and deeply moving. Each vignette offers a glimpse into experiences often hidden by shame, secrecy, or silence.
Every story is embodied by dancers Catherine Lafond and Jodi Behan, who interpret each vulva and her emotional landscape through movement. Woven between these vignettes, Fran Bouwman—founder of Viva la Flying Vulva—offers historical and contemporary context, grounding the personal narratives into a larger cultural conversation.
This show is bold, intimate, and quietly revolutionary. It invites people of all genders and all ages to grow curious, compassionate, and engaged in the reclamation of the vulva.

Welcome to the Viva la Flying Vulva Positivity Portal! Thank you so much for being here! The intention of this space is to provide a platform that celebrates everything the vulva is - a portal to life, sexuality, creativity, sensuality, diversity, and power. I offer a video blog where you get to learn all kinds of things that are vulva related - and I will provide links to the beautiful work that other people are doing around this topic as well. There is also an online or in person workshop series that gives people the opportunity to explore their vulva and sensuality in a gentle, healing and also powerful way. The last thing you’ll discover is some really fun stuff to buy, like ball caps, toques, t-shirts, a colouring book, art pieces, and more!
